SHOW BRIDLES

Turnout bridles
The Turnout Bridle is made from Sedgewicks Bridle Leather and is stitched 12 to the inch. The noseband and browband are both flat and it includes plain curb and bradoon reins which are both buckled. A stitched curb guard and lip strap complete the package.

Hunter bridles
The Hunter Bridle is traditionally a more sturdy bridle, able to withstand a day’s hunting in the field.  My hunter bridles, because they are for showing are not heavier, but are considered a plainer, more workman like bridle with a flat and sometimes wider nose and browband.  These bridles are stitched 10 to the inch using Sedgewick leather and usually have a showing padded bradoon rein with a plain curb rein.

Hack bridles
are made using Sedgewicks leather.  A finer bridle than the Hunter.  A choice of plain, plaited or padded rein is given.

Showing bridles
The Showing Bridle has a gently raised and stitched nose and browband.  It is also stitched 10 to the inch and is usually matched with a laced and plain rein.
The stitched bridle has much more detail and shows off a delicate head beautifully.

These bridles are also made from Sedgewick’s leather.
